When I went to medical school, it was not to make money. Only 25% of the population had health insurance. Physicians' incomes were just average.That situation changed, but my philosophy did not. I have never done an operation on a patient that I would not have recommended for a loved one. I have operated on hundreds of doctors and their families, and countless hospital nurses.
