When I went to medical school, it was not to make money. Only 25% of the population had health insurance. Physicians' incomes were just average.That situation changed, but my philosophy did not. I have never done an operation on a patient that I would not have recommended for a loved one. I have operated on hundreds of doctors and their families, and countless hospital nurses. I would recommend Dr. Clarke wholeheartedly. Please note that I am a physician also (internist) so I have a good deal of insight into good or not so good docs. In addition he is very personable, takes his time and explains everything thoroughly.
Very satisfied with all aspects of my interaction with Dr. Clarke from careful straight forward diagnosis on my first visit, thru robotic surgery, and follow up examination. Easy to talk with giving clear concise answers. Highly recommend this Dr. Gentleman. Staff was also first rate.
Dr. Clark is friendly,approachable and professional. He is trustworthy to make decisions that are best for the patient. My surgery day I felt perfectly attended to and safe. Plenty of sedation and pain meds for after. DR. Clark is a very kind man. I recommend him highly.
He saved my life. Period. No exaggeration..he performed a surgery that would have discouraged others from completing and I am so grateful. He makes patient calls, explains clearly what the process of recovery will involve. I have complete confidence in his skill!

Dr. Clarke is a very caring physician. He is very thorough, patient, considerate, answers any questions asked of his patients, and is a true Virginia gentleman! I have full confidence on my upcoming surgery with him in April. Would highly recommend him for any surgery he performs. BCT

I have never trusted anyone at the first sight to put my life in their hands. Dr. Clarke was a first. I even told him that regardless of how the major surgery went, he has my full support and prayers. Well I was right. He saved my life and there has not been one instance that even a remotest doubt entered my mind about the procedure and post operation care that Dr. John Clarke extended to me. To me, he is the best doctor/surgeon ever operated on me. TY

The best care I have ever received by all staff involved with my surgery. I only wish I lived closer. Dr Clarke gave me and my wife personal attention which is rare these days. I give 10/10 with no hesitation!!! Thank you Dr Clarke and staff.

Dr. Clark and his entire staff were very kind and caring. I rarely waited more than 5 or 10 minutes in the office to see Dr Clark. The surgery went really well and the post-operative care was excellent also.
Dr Clarke is the BEST!! I highly recommend him. Office Staff is awesome too.
