RecommendedThanks for a great supper, we’ve been coming to the south location since I was a kid. I’m from out of town and was really happy with the protocol during this pandemic we’re in. Very professional and helped us feel safe. Jerrod is always great. Myself and my BBQ-tie will be back soon.

The food is amazing. The service on June 4 not so great. One waitress totally ignored a client I had brought to experience this establishment. I did express my disappointment. Other waitresses tried to make up for the one bad egg. Will be back and I hope that she does read this.
My family has eaten Bar-B-Q since John opened in 1972 on third avenue. I feel his presence when we go there. I recommend the ribs and pulled pork. They are my favorites. Add beans slaw and okra. Cheese curd are great. Oh heck with it’s all great food and service. I always feel appreciated.
I've been going to John Hardy's Bar-B-Q for as long as I can remember. You simply cannot find better barbecue than John Hardy's! We have tried other places in Rochester, but they all fall very short compared to here. My whole family loves this place, and despite members of my family moving away -- everyone's first stop when coming back to Rochester is here! 😊

I've been going to John Hardy's since I was a kid, and this place is insanely good. their pulled pork plate with JoJos and fried okra, medium sauce is my go to. the. absolute. freaking. best. you can buy their sauces too!!
