I been going to John Hardys for 20+ years I have always loved there food but it has really gone down hill in the past year. In April of 2020 I ordered the Rib Dinner got home and the meat was was cold. ordered the same thing in July of 2020 and same thing ribs were cold. called manager and he filed a complaint and I received a gift card for a rib dinner. Great food, great price, great environment for everyone, Locally owned and operated, phenomenal staff, and in these trying times INCREDIBLE patience due diligence and adherence to our health challenges. I love them personally and trust them so much I am preparing to have them cater my annual meeting!!!!! They have something for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done to their fabulous crew!!!!!!
As a previous commenter said, customer service is key. On a recent visit to the south store my wife and I were served cold food (ex. the baked potato wouldn't even melt the butter). This was the 2nd visit for us where this happened. When my wife asked to have our food heated, she was told by the server to save her breath because we do this all the time to get a free meal (absolutely not true). The food was AMAZING and so were the prices. Excellent customer service. My husband said," these ribs just slide off the bone, WOP". It reminds me of the southern rib restaurants.
Customer service is key to surviving in any business, but especially in the restaurant business. Saying you don't do meat substitutions is not good customer service especially when the substitution is a topping on a mac and cheese dish.
First time there and loved it! Seemed like authentic, southern bbq.
Well worth our 90 minute drive! Our favorite is the pork plate with the outstanding jojo potatoes.
The worst Bbq I’ve had. So dry and the sauce is so vinegar tasting you can’t choke it down. Brisket was dry, turkey was dry and the sweet potato tots soggy cause they put dry meat on top. Horrible.
