Dr. John McGarry is an excellent Orthopedic Doctor that I cannot highly recommend enough. Despite me not having any clear injury besides repeated trauma on the knee with excess swelling, John McGarry was decisive with finding the issue and acting on a procedure to address my problems. As soon as I was able to attend physical therapy, my knee has gotten better! Overall, I am impressed with Dr McGarry and Plano Orthopedics!
Very disappointed with this doctor. He misdiagnosed my injury as an issue with my IT band. No x-ray, no CT scan and no MRI. After 12 months of no improvement in my condition I scheduled another appointment, hoping that he would schedule an MRI but at my second appointment I only saw his nurse and she stated it was an IT band issue again. We had a very disappointing experience with this doctor. During my wife's visit, he was dismissive, rushed, and did not take the time to understand her lifestyle or struggles. Instead of addressing her medical concerns properly, he made an unprofessional and insulting remark, calling her a "couch potato." The appointment lasted barely five minutes, and it felt like her concerns were completely overlooked. We expected compassionate care and attention, but sadly, that was not what we received.
