Dr. Walker repaired my left radius. He is a highly skilled surgeon with such a gentle touch., and a great bedside manner.
Great! He replaced a knuckle in my middle finger that had been done by an ortho dr. at KU which failed and it’s better than ever- no pain and good movement. He also fused one pip joint which looks beautiful today. I have 7 others fused by 2 other ortho Drs. and some have little bony growths or other deformities-not bad, but they don’t look as nice as the one Dr. Walker did.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Walker for over a year, and he replaced my arthritic CMC (bade of thumb) joint last summer. I cannot imagine using anyone else for my hand problems.
Dr. Walker takes the time to explain every procedure and make sure I'm comfortable with the course of treatment. His compassion is outweighed only by his surgical skills.
Each time I visit Dr Walker I learn more about how to help myself heal faster and better. He carefully explains every procedure and make you feel like he is listening and that he cares. Best ortho Doctor !
Always upbeat and thorough. When I broke my shoulder he encouraged me and made sure that my shoulder healed and I was able to perform all tasks that o could do before fracture
I had right thumb joint replacement surgery. This is the only surgery that I have ever had that did not hurt at all or itch when the cast was on. I am planning on having him do my left thumb this October.
I fell, broke the bones in my forearm in 5 places, and twisted them. At the time of my surgery, I had never heard of Dr. Walker, had no idea if he was highly rated or not. Now, 7 weeks after my surgery, I know how lucky I was to get him. My bones have healed, with the help of 5 metal plates and many spikes. The pain is almost zero, I can extend my arm almost straight down and bend my arm up from the elbow about 120 degrees. I am amazed at how well the healing has gone. Thank you, Doctor!
Dr. Walker is highly skilled but very personable and down to earth. I found him to be gentle, caring and attentive, and I'm well satisfied with the treatment and encouragement he gave me through a scary process. He's one of those people who exudes calm, exactly what you want in a surgeon.
