"I became a part of Kansas City Bone & Joint Clinic in August of 2008. I have always been attracted to orthopedics and upper extremity problems in particular. There's something satisfying about the approach of taking someone who's active, has an ...

Always upbeat and thorough. When I broke my shoulder he encouraged me and made sure that my shoulder healed and I was able to perform all tasks that o could do before fracture
I had right thumb joint replacement surgery. This is the only surgery that I have ever had that did not hurt at all or itch when the cast was on. I am planning on having him do my left thumb this October.
I fell, broke the bones in my forearm in 5 places, and twisted them. At the time of my surgery, I had never heard of Dr. Walker, had no idea if he was highly rated or not. Now, 7 weeks after my surgery, I know how lucky I was to get him. My bones have healed, with the help of 5 metal plates and many spikes. The pain is almost zero, I can extend my arm almost straight down and bend my arm up from the elbow about 120 degrees. I am amazed at how well the healing has gone. Thank you, Doctor!
Dr. Walker is highly skilled but very personable and down to earth. I found him to be gentle, caring and attentive, and I'm well satisfied with the treatment and encouragement he gave me through a scary process. He's one of those people who exudes calm, exactly what you want in a surgeon.
Dr. Walker is an amazing Doctor! I had a SUPER frozen shoulder, a torn rotator cuff and two tears in my labrum. I had indescribable pain. Dr. Walker knew right off that surgery was my only option. I could not lift my arm AT ALL, but now I have 95 percent rotation of my arm/shoulder 3 months post surgery. I am so grateful to him for his care, knowledge and physical therapy suggested treatments. Physical therapy is a lot of work, but so well worth it to have movement in my arm again. Thank you:)
I have seen and been treated by a lot of surgeons in my time and this guy was absolutely the worst of the bunch. Rarely on time, no bedside manner at all, no follow up after procedures at his office or after surgery, wasn't interested in listening to how the injury happened, or how things had gotten worse after the surgery, and did not read notes his assistants typed. Would never recommend this guy to anyone.
