Dr. John Kunesh performed cataract surgery on both my eyes within the past few months. As a very nervous patient, I was terrified about having surgery on my eyes; however, the experience could not have been better. The first surgery went so well I could not wait to have the second. Originally, I went to Dayton Eye Associates for my cataracts. The doctor at this practice did not answer my questions and I felt like a "cash cow". A friend recommended Dr Kunesh. He was very professional, he listened and answered all my questions. Since I wished to be "near-sighted" instead of the normal "far-sighted" patients, he provided additional consultation to make sure I would be satisfied with my decision and discussed the pros and cons. I did regular eye exams for a number of years, twice a year because I wore eyeglasses. Over my later years I developed cataracts and had the left eye done by Dr. John Kunesh and in Nov. 2019 I have had my right eye done. All visits to his office have always been informative and successful in my experience.
Dr. John Kunesh did cataract removal in Dec 2019 going to do other eye in Feb 2020, I can't wait to have done He did my wife's and mother in laws. Everyone very happy. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Would not go anywhere else.

Dr. Kunesh is definitely the best!! In fact his entire staff is amazing and so knowledgeable. My surgery consisted of removing cataract, fixing my astigmatism, and putting stent in my eye for glaucoma, I can only see out of the eye he operated on so it is so important for me to be able to see,. He has improved my vision in that eye so that I now have 20/30 vision and I no longer have a restricted license (only to drive in the daytime). I am now non-restricted.
Dr. Kunesh was very professional and I am very pleased with my cataract surgery. I now have 20/20 in one eye and 20/25 in the other. After 50 years of wearing glasses I am not eyeware free. I wear reading glasses only when working on close projects. I can see in the distance extremely well which has been a benefit to my golf game (I can see the ball land now).
Dr. Kunesh and his staff are very professional and thorough. He's been very encouraging with the results of my diabetic eye results.
