The site of my surgery is still red months later. Want Dr. to look at it. Staff never answers phone. Always need to leave messages. They call back days later. Then tell me to go back to original dermatologist.
TERRIBLE I have no idea if he unnecessarily butchered me with a 4 x6” hole on my forehead or saved my life because he didn’t meet with me to discuss it and sent me on my merry way to a surgeon. No follow up to see if I secured a surgeon or how I was doing with an open hole on my head from him or his staff. (Office ladies were helpful.) The medical info link SENT for me would not open.Was blank!! No paperwork given to me either.Luckily I seem to be blessed to have a good surgeon for my multiple surgery to make me whole again.... read more
I was seen by Nurse Practitioner Ashley Studnik. She did a full body exam and answered my questions. She spent an appropriate amount of time with me. I realized after I left I did not ask & they did not tell me what aftercare I should do at home for the biopsy wound, that would be my only area of concern. I looked that information up online.
Dr. Scanlan and her staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. They answered all my questions. The term 'skin cancer' made me nervous when the dermatologist told me, and I had never heard of Mohs Surgery. I googled it and read up on it but still was nervous and had questions. They were wonderful! And Dr. Scanlan was patient and took time with me. Someone from her staff even called me later that evening to follow up with how I was doing. Was recent patient of Dr Scanlan and her staff is very welcoming personable and compassionate If I could give Dr Scanlan 10 stars I would since I have had 2 Mohs surgeries with here and she explains everything in detail and makes sure everything is negative before she discharges you. Wonderful bedside manner. Great Surgeon. Sincerely Leo
Recent visit to office staff as always, kind, compassionate and very professional. Dr. Scanlan consistently takes the time to speak with and listen to me. She explains procedures and expectations clearly.
Dr. Studnik spent less than 10 minutes in the room with me and was very rude. I felt like he did not care about my condition (acne) enough to even explain things through for me. He said “you wouldn’t know what they are anyways” when I simply asked for the name of the gels he was prescribing me. He laughed when I told him what sunscreen I was using. Dr. Studnik was in the room with me for less than 10 minutes which is ridiculous when I paid a $40 copay for his time. He was very rude, did not make me feel comfortable, and actually managed to make me feel worse about my acne. After I told him my current acne is what it looks like on average, he said “so this is just what you look like”. I had an appointment today 5/17 at 8:45 am, checked in at 8:30 am, after 1 hour waiting i asked the receptionist why the delay, and she said that they thought that i hadn´t checked in and the Dr was not at the office, the exact thing happened to another Patient that was also waiting for 1 hour and had checked in too. I would like to have a Concise explanation from Dr Rivlin office of what happened. Took me 60 minutes to arrive at the office and another 60 minutes to go back home.
