Dr. Kort is a gifted, genuinely caring, and knowledgeable therapist. He not only listens, but he ‘hears’ you. I spent years trying a variety of therapists to sort through life issues. Some of them were better than others, and all of them seemed well intentioned, but none provided me with the depth or understanding that I found with him. Seeing Joe was the best thing I ever did for myself. I’ll be forever grateful for the time I spent under his care.

I have attended 2 professional trainings that Joe Kort has given, and I found him to be very knowledgable, well organized, empathetic and warm. Joe's books have been very helpful to my clients as well. He provides a non-shaming perspective on sexual matters, and he can hold clients in a supportive way. He's supportive of LGBTQ+ clients and he holds an egalitarian perspective of how people of different identities exist in our social system. Highly recommended.
