Our experience with UCI Health raised concerns that go well beyond the amount of the bill. The larger issue is whether the care actually provided was accurately reflected in the services that were ultimately billed. My wife was referred to a UCI gynecology specialist by another physician. We traveled over 12 hours round trip to see Dr. Joel Gelman because we were told he was one of only two urologists on the West Coast who specialized in my husband’s condition. His dermatologist recommended Dr Gelman and another specialist in Utah. We chose California first because it was closer. Unfortunately, our experience was INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING!
