She told me that my anxiety would never get better unless I used her biofeedback therapy machine, which conveniently isn’t covered by insurance. I’m not saying it doesn’t work, I didn’t use the device. If you want to see a therapist for therapy, I would strongly recommend seeing someone else. If you want bio therapy, then I guess she seemed fine. Pretty knowledgeable about the technology. She seemed like a pretty nice person, just not a good therapist. My functional medicine physician recommended that I receive Neurofeedback. I found JoAnn to be very proficient in her understanding of brain mapping and the plasticity of the brain. She encouraged me with additional reading and lots of support. I have made a lot of progress in my sessions with Joann.
I just had to reiterate what my husband wrote about our wonderful experience with JoAnn in counseling with our adopted daughter. Well worth the time, effort in getting there, and honestly we would have spent any amount of money to help our daughter feel better. JoAnn and our daughter had an incredible connection. When my son was in high school, he was put on medication for ADHD...but it never really seemed to help. He had anger issues and his grades were average. JoAnn performed TOVA testing and he doesn't have ADHD at all! Now that he's off the meds, he's less irritable and feeling much less anger. She's been so patient in helping him cope with what he was struggling with all along-depression.

My doc in CA recommended neurofeedback with brain mapping because I have chronic fatigue from long term mold exposure. (I'm 50 and used to running around like the energizer bunny to get things accomplished.) After 4 months of incorporating mindfulness training and regular neurofeedback, I am so much happier and back to enjoying a peaceful life again! I can't believe I waited so long to get the help I needed.

At 45, I consider myself to be a successful businessman but I have dealt with anxiety and depression from all of the overtime hours I've had to work to maintain my success.
