Went there today 10/22 with my husband. We ordered two sushi rolls; California and spicy shrimp roll. Both were far from good. The shrimp roll we sent back looked like it was not made fresh and had been sitting there for a while. We both tasted a piece of the shrimp roll and the rice and roll were very stiff. When my husband sent it back I heard the cashier ask the lady in the kitchen “did you make this yesterday or today?” And I didn’t hear a reply. I went to the Jingu Tea House today with my mom as she had been there before and had a good experience. I ordered the vegetarian sushi and a side of “five spice” chips. Let me preface this review by saying I’ve had vegetarian sushi before from 4 other Asian restaurants in San Antonio and eat vegetarian sushi about once a month. It was the worst vegetarian sushi I’ve ever had, the rice tasted pickled. On top of that, the chips had no five spice on them and tasted bland.
