It all began in 1960, when former teacher, coach and salesman Jim Tallant founded Jim's Appliance and Furniture with 2 Boise locations. In 1971 he combined the stores and relocated to the current address at 1115 Lusk Street a 30, 000 square foot building close to downtown Boise. Care about customers after the sale and don't lie to customers. I asked if Jim's could convert our new stove to propane and was told no. When I had a problem converting the stove to propane that is when I was told they do convert stoves to propane. They don't care about their customers the sale. All Jim's cares about is money.

Apparently my hair is a little too tall, and my Converse a little too tattered for the stuffy salesmen at Jim's Appliance. Ten minutes of walking around looking at washing machines, while three of them gabbed and didn't even knowledge me. Maybe tattoos and earrings scare their salesmen. I always try to buy local, but treat me like you don't want my business, and you'll never get it.

Sales and staff are amazing. Delivery people were incredible. Courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly.

I needed a new bed and my son recommended Jim's appliance in Boise ... He bought beds for his new home there and they are very happy with them. So I called and spoke with Ivey, got Quotes and recommendations from her . Then I did my homework and called other places and I went right back to Jims ... I love this store! You can't ask for more friendly, professional sales staff and installers. I have bought appliances, furniture, and mattresses from Jim's for many years. I recommend Jim's, a premium local store.
