It was referred by a Houston local for eating and fishing..waitress told us that fishing was free (we thought was odd) for an hour and that is indeed not true. The wristband is a "view" that is normally $3 on the pier. If you want to fish go to Walmart first and get. A license then come back and pay to rent equipment and purchase bait. We love this place!! Relaxing, beautiful view & Brandon the waiter Rocks! We look forward to going there every time we're in Galveston. The food is good, but the view...Wow! PLUS, we got to see Dolphins right off the deck! Love this place & highly recommend it!
I had a great time at Jimmy's on the Pier. Eventhough it was raining we couldn't enjoy the pier like we wanted to but we decided to take in the view at the restaurant sipping on margaritas and munching on the Seafood nachos, which is a well seasoned fish and shrimp, over tortilla chips with cheese, and a healthy dose of sriracha. We will go back for sure when the weather permit it.
Love it that there's grass fed beef burgers and homemade fries and regular old fashioned soda with sugar instead of corn syrup. Everything was delicious as usual and the view is unbeatable! People thought my photo was taken from a boat...not a pier! Service was prompt and excellent! A great place to go before or after a movie...right across the street!
The food was good, the service was a little slow on the weekdays. All in all it was a good experience.
I enjoy every visit to Jimmy's. This is South Texas and no matter how clean you are we have bugs. And being out over the water of a fishing pier you will see bugs. I don't understand the earlier posts. Everyone I bring here are returning customers with and without us!
Food was decent. Service was very good. We were greeted before even walking in the door and seated immediately.
I don't care what people say, I had a great time and will go back. It is a awesome place to hang out. Good food and drinks sitting on the deck checking out the ocean.
Very good breeze from the gulf.very beautiful view of the shore line .food was exellent, beer was ice cold and the waitresses were very friendly .definetly a place I will hit every time we go to Galveston.
