Best sandwich in Dallas! If you want a fun weekend experience do the following: Go to Jimmy's and taste some wine and appetizers while the cooks make your Cuban (best sandwich in Dallas). Get a bottle of wine and your sandwiches and enjoy them in the back room. On your way out, pick up some groceries to make yummy italian food at home that night....don't forget more wine!

From the ashes! Jimmy's has completely recovered and expanded from the fire in 2004, and is better than ever. It's a grocery store, it's a meat market, it's a small sandwich shop, and most importantly to my Brooklyn-born, Italian wife, it is one of the only quality Italian markets in Dallas. Jimmy's has products that aren't available anywhere else in the Metroplex. (We found them originally when I asked a cheese manufacturer to please help me find a local source.) A weekly shopping trip Jimmy's is a brilliant Dallas resource -- not only do they have delightful espresso to sip as you shop, they also have the best choice of fresh homemade pasta and meats in the deli. A seasonal collection of vegetables. All kinds of canned items from Europe -- sardines, sauces, tomatoes. Good choice of sweets, as well.
