Home Cooking plus Barbecue – Jim & Nick's Barbecue is a fantastic place for not only wonderful barbecue, but their side dishes are as good if not better than you get at the best home cooking establishment. It would be difficult to say what was best, but the collards, potato salad and sweet potatoes were just out of this world. Can you say overpriced – I considered myself a self proclaimed authority on BBQ. The food is good. But way over priced. Go to Harolds or Fox Bros. And great the real thing without getting ripped off
Best BBQ in Atlanta – My boyfriend and I went in search of good BBQ and found it at Jim 'N Nicks. The experience started from the moment we parked in front of the log pile. The air was full with notes of Blues music and the mouth-watering aroma of smoking meat. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and sat immediately. Poor service – Each time I have placed an order through the drive thru window at Jim & Nick's I've had to go back into the restaurant and wait another 20 minutes for them to correct it. The BBQ chicken is really greasy and not very tasty. While waiting for my order to be changed I noticed the waitress picking up lemon slices with her unwashed hands and placing them on customer's drinking glasses.
Excellent service -- and really good food too! – We have been this place 5 times in the past 5 weekends and have yet to be dissapointed. The food is great. Just your usual BBQ menu - with great burgers too. They have drink specials that are $6 - including a handmade margaritta that is excellent. Above all, their staff is friendly, polite, attentive, and fast. The level of service is equal to what you might expect at a restaruant 3 times this price.
good food but bad service – I love Jim n NIck's food, but the service is lacking....It takes too long to get refills on the drinks...you are lucky if the waiter comes back to the table.... the beer is never cold and it is almost impossible to get a second drink......after many tries at dining inside and even complaining to the owners regarding poor service, we finally stopped eating there...as much as we enjoyed the food, the poor, slow service drove us away....the few times that we have been back, we ordered take out.......... read more

I will NEVER eat at a Jim N Nicks restaurant ever again. My boyfriend and I were in Jasper, AL and saw that the parking lot was covered up and I had originally said that I would like to eat somewhere different. First of all, service was TERRIBLE! The waitress checked on us ONE time, said she would bring us straws after she realized she didn't have any in her apron and NEVER came back. We had to ask another waiter for a straw. Why bother? – We've gone here annually for years. It's not the "best place" but it's predictable. Our recent visit for our 17-person group was a disaster. Our waiter was completely "out of it." We understand the challenges of a large group, but he would completely disappear for 15-min at a time. Drinks took 30 min to arrive.
