Dr. Maxey replaced a mercury filling of mine but he drilled the old filling out too much and the tooth broke. I paid him to rebuild the tooth but he again drilled too deep and the tooth became very sensitive to heat and cold. I finally went to a different dentist who told me that because he had drilled so deep, the only way to fix the tooth would be a root canal. I cannot recommend Dr.Maxey as he does very poor work.
Today was the first day I saw Dr. Maxey. I had already been diagnosed by another dentist to have an abscess that needed to be pulled because I don't do root canals and I was very nervous. Dr.. Maxey verified the abscess by ruling all other possibilities out and taking an X-ray he was very thorough with my history. He explained everything to me in advance and with each step. I was very impressed with him and his assistant Victoria they were so kind and caring. I will definately go back.
I love that Dr. Maxey is mercury and fluoride-free! He is also kind, gentle, conservative, trustworthy and ethical. He treats adults and children. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Maxey, really cares about your dental needs. I received lots of answers to all my questions. I recently had a filling, and tooth removal. The experience was refreshing, speaking to a dentist who actually cares. I have felt for years that other dentist were only concerned about the money. I felt as if I were his only patient.
Dr. Maxey is very knowledgable about dentistry and takes the time to listen and explain what I need to know. Is is also very knowledgable about natural alternatives. He also is careful to not do any unnecessary intervention. I've always felt I could trust his abilities and his care.
I have been a patient of Dr. Maxey for quite a few years now and think he is great. He has removed all of the mercury from my teeth safely and I really appreciate his stance on NOT using harmful chemicals that other dentists regularly use.

My family went to Dr. Maxey some years ago. Hes very expensive and for some reason didnt seem to really want to see us,(racial issues perhaps?). His staff are liars- my mom set up an appointment and told them to schedule her tentatively because she wasnt sure if she could get time off. Dr. Maxeys staff told him my mom scheduled and re-schedueled many times so he sent my mom a nasty letter saying he didnt want us as patients.
