These guys fixed my Eclipse after it started smoking one day. Apparently the transmission line had a hole in it (i'm not very car knowledgeable, so don't judge me by that). These guys were so nice. They saw to my car the very next day and gave us a call as soon as they knew what was wrong with it. My car was fixed by the end of the day. On a road trip to the sierra's we got a check engine light flashing... the local dealerships and big name auto shops wanted us to "take a number" and leave the car all day. We had no idea if this was a minor glitch or major problem. Jim Dandy Transmission quickly connected the device to find the computer code, got us underway in just a few minutes and then wouldn't even take the diagnostic fee. We confirmed his opinion with our local mechanic at home and we are back on the road! Friendly and honest and all-around nice guy!

Roger not only took care of my husbands truck, but also did a great job fixing my car. They are nice, friendly, have your car finished when they say they will and much cheaper than other places. Thanks Roger for taking such great care of us :)

This place is great! I went there to have my transmission fluid changed and they have the best price around by far. Half the price I was quoted by several other places. They had friendly and quirky service and no inkling whatsoever of trying to rip anyone off. I'll be back!

My car wouldn't go in the gears, and both my sons recommending Jim Dandy Transmission , I limped my car to them late in the day, accomodating my schedule as best as they can. The next evening JD called saying the transmission is OK, & to take it to a mechanic. Being a single, I could have easily been ripped off. Instead this business operates with integrity and and great customer service. If I need transmission work in the future this is where I will go. Highly recommend.

I took my 2003 Explorer there after a trip to the mountains when the transmission kept shuddering as it tried shift, shaking the whole car. It had actually been doing this for a year occasionally around town, but this was too much. I explained the problem to them, they took all day to examine it and then told me it would cost $1600-2400 to repair depending on what they found when they tore it apart. I have to say hands down i got the best bang for my $ and the most genuine experience with them. I was greeted with a smile right away by the front office girl. She took my cars info and put her mechanics to the task right away. She also spoke highly of her shop mechanics. After sitting in the waiting room where I was greeted by the owner I recieved the update I thought might be taking place. My transmission was failing. Jim Dandy was the best. I called after we found a puddle under the car. It was still under a warranty from prior work. They picked up the car right away. No delay no questions. After a few days Roger called and said car was fixed. They worked fast and were complete in getting the car back to us fast. Thank you

This review is a little overdue but better late than never. I have a 2014 dodge Cummins with a 68rfe. I called around to numerous transmission shops and all said they did not have enough knowledge or that they were too busy. I called Roger at Jim dandy and he brought in that night to diagnose my truck. This guy definitely knows transmissions and he's very friendly.
