This was my first visit to this provider after a table saw injury which mangled the back side of the end of my thumb. This was properly repaired in the Stanford ER by members of his team. I was quite positively impressed with him and the rest of the staff. He checked all the boxes that I use to rate healthcare providers. Dr. Yao is very professional and takes the time to understand the situation and walks me through the alternatives. This enables me to make informed decisions.
I had surgery for 2 trigger fingers on my right hand yesterday. I have to admit I was a little worried about pain during the procedure since I had opted for local anesthesia. The numbing injections were painful, I have to admit. Dr. Yao and Jason (his PA) were patient, answered all my questions, and calmed my fears.
