I had surgery for 2 trigger fingers on my right hand yesterday. I have to admit I was a little worried about pain during the procedure since I had opted for local anesthesia. The numbing injections were painful, I have to admit. Dr. Yao and Jason (his PA) were patient, answered all my questions, and calmed my fears. Dr. Yao handled my husband's 7 bone fracture with total expertise and gave him the very best care. Don't hesitant to see Dr. Yao. He is outstanding in his field.
This was my first visit to this provider after a tool injury that was repaired in the Stanford ER. I was quite positively impressed with him and the rest of the staff. He checked all the boxes that I use to rate healthcare providers. As such I can highly recommend him.
Dr. Yao did both wrists for my Carpal Tunnel. He was great to work with, explained everything very well, answered all my questions with patience and detail. Those procedures were done a few years ago, and now I'm back again for a nodule on the palm of my hand...almost like a raised bump. But here's what you should know...even though I know longer live in Bay Area, I've moved down to So Cal, I still would prefer to see Dr. Yao for any hand/ wrist issues.
