Would never go back to Dr. Kann. Waited over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. He spent less than three minutes in the room with me. Walked in, said “So you’re having heel pain.” Jammed his thumb into me foot. When I jumped, he said” We can take care of that.” He got up and left the room. After about 10 minutes a nurse came in and slapped a splint on my foot and said I was done. They only way I knew what he diagnosed the problem as was from the walk out slip.
Dr. Kann performed my Achilles repair surgery. I am very impressed with his expertise. I am recovering well and expect to be back to normal soon. There are many negative reviews out there on Dr. Kann. Please keep in mind these reviews are written by Workers Compensation claimants sent for Independent Medical Evaluation. Might I respectfully suggest that these people put down the Fritos, turn off Oprah, and get back to work.
I wish I had checked him out better or his reviews, before I had surgery. I don't want to select any stars. Some places require you to select 1 star so I will do that if I have to. I highly do NOT recommend for many reasons. He acts very confident, like he knows what he's doing, but he really messed me up. I had to have another surgery to try to correct his surgery, and it wasn't all repairable.
I can't say enough about Dr. Kann. My daughter needed to have corrective surgery on her foot and he was amazing! He was thorough with explaining every step of the procedure with us (her parents) and called to follow-up after the surgery. The follow-up appointment was wonderful as well. He took plenty of time to make sure her foot was improving. I would most definitely recommend him and would contact him again for any other foot surgeries.
Dr. Kann spent about two minutes with me total and swung my knee around a few times. Based on this, he went ahead with an MRI and indicated it's possibly a meniscus tear. Well, had he done the full range of tests to test the meniscus, he would have noticed it was fine, as another knee doctor did. I got the MRI done and just took the results to another doctor. Turned out I had a lateral tibial plateau bruise and it's healing. Don't waste your time on this guy. You're a number, not a patient
I do not recommend Dr Jeffrey Kahn to anyone. He is a doctor that is looking out for his own interest. He is looking to pack as many patients into his day. He spent five minutes total and that's being generous. His diagnosis was inaccurate, and I honestly think he should look into a different profession. For foot injuries he might want to ask more about daily activities, routine, maybe ask for the patient to walk and show range of motion, diet, etc. complete waste of time.
When I tried to discuss my pain, I was dismissed. When I tried to ask questions about alleviating the my pain, I was dismissed. Kann dismissed me over and over again. He was in a rush to be rid of me, not to have a conversation about Sports Medicine. I was told that, instead of running so much, perhaps I should "grab some of my little girlfriends and take one of those little spinning classes." Kann did not take me seriously as a patient or an athlete.
I ruptured my quad tendon in a accident at work. My company sent me to Dr. Kann. I thought, " This will probably be some terrible doctor they use for all work injuries.". I couldn't have been more wrong. I had one office visit just to confirm it was ruptured and he had me scheduled for surgery two days after my accident. Surgery and recovery went great with no set backs. Scheduling is tight. But thats what happens when you want a good doctor. Thanks again for getting me back up to speed Dr. Kann
Horrible doctor. Complete jerk in the office and a terrible surgeon. My wife's foot is worse after 2 bad procedures with him. This guy shouldn't practice.
