Dr Deckey saved my ability to walk! Yes you may have to wait but that is because he takes all the time you need to get questions answered. Mine was a complicated spinal surgery but the outcome was awesome!
Dr. Deckey opened the nerve passages and fused three vertebrae together in my wife’s lower back. She had 1 disk that had completely collapsed and the 2 next to it weren’t so good either. Before the surgery my wife was dragging a leg with numbness and a lot of pain radiating to her hip and down the leg. She was really having a tough time. Dr. Deckey is an amazing person, not only an incredible surgeon and doctor. He went above and beyond and something didn't sit with him about my husband's MRI. Over the weekend, he had his own radiologist read it and it confirmed a staph infection in his spine and his bloodstream. Most doctor's would have just read the report and looked at it, but he knew something wasn't right. We are beyond grateful to him! It's been 4 weeks since massive back surgery and my back feels GREAT! Much stronger than before and my previous back pain is gone. Every person I came in contact with at the hospital said Dr. Deckey is the best. My anesthesiologist told me before my surgery if he were to ever need back surgery Dr. Deckey would be his surgeon. Dr Deckey listened to me, explained everything I was suffering from, and implemented two surgeries to correct my Degenerative Disc Disease. I had 4 cervical fusions first. Recovered from that and immediately had a Lumbar fusion and repai if 5 discs. His staff was respectful, helpful and addressed my concerns. He gave me a miracle, I am 66 years old and grateful!
I went to see Dr. Deckey almost a year ago for a second opinion. I was working with another doctor and I was not happy with the level of attention they were putting toward getting me healed. Dr. Deckey performed a replacement/fuse surgery on my L5/S1 in Feb. 2020. It has not been 8 months since surgery and I feel great. I am amazed by the mobility that I have as well as being 100% pain free. I would recommend Dr. Deckey to my closets friends and family.
Dr. Decky has been a really great Surgeon, He has performed 2 Cervical Surgeries on me and did a really great job. He love doing Surgeries and that is one of the reasons he is so good. Dr. Deckey performed a lumbar fusion on me in January of 2017. My chronic pain is gone and I'm able to do almost everything. I'm 68 so I think it's a miracle. Very grateful for him and his associates.
Do not go to this doctor or this office. No care for patients and impossible to get a call back from ANYONE there. Waited 1.5 hrs to see doctor only to see PA. He pulled up someone else's xrays (scary) which I had to correct him on. Sent down hall for more xrays. Finally see Dr. Decky after another 45 minutes who didn't want to give me the time of day to see what was wrong or how I was feeling, exam me or anything. Left with a MRI referral I needed to question. 3 calls, no answers!
