Don’t go any further. He is the best! After a few years of pain in buttock area, he finally diagnosed and treated me. Best Botox shot into periformis, which has permanently resolved sciatica, as well as periodic cortisone treatment for bursitis. Excellent listener and a remarkable clinician for diagnosing cause of pain. I really don’t get people who complain about scheduling etc. Maybe they don’t understand you are one of many patients at ucsd & they do a great job keeping on schedule & providing care.
Dr Chen is the best doctor I’ve ever had. He listens to my concerns and actually does something about it. He takes his time during the appointments so I don’t feel rushed and have time to think about questions. If I think of something after I leave, I message him my question and he responds within a days time. I leave feeling cared about, not just a room moved through. He has done multiple pain management procedures on me and his hands are like magic, no fear no pain and so well informed. I have complete faith in his skills.... read more
I saw Dr.Chen's medical student (fellow/resident), then Dr.Chen came in to talk with me. He said he agreed with his assessment. I wasn't really sure this is what was going to happen when I came in and not sure at the time I appreciated it. But I'm glad Dr.Chen came in and backed up what his medical student had said. By the way, Dr.Chen doesn't mention his name in my medical notes so I can't tell you his name and I can't remember it. Dr. Chen is a good dude. Really appreciate him helping me with all the stuff I have going on post cycling crash in 2019 and surgery in 2020. Reading the comments about his staff, I've had nothing but positive experience with him. I'd give him a try and make your own judgements.
Dr Chen is the best.I trust him and his opinions more than any Dr I have ever delt with.
