Dr. Chao has continued to work with me to find the best treatment regimen. He has always been encouraging, thorough, supportive, and responsive.
I have been in Dr Chao's care for at least 10 years now. I believe in part I am still here due to him. I am extremely happy with his services. In an effort to try to visit a closer Psychiatrist to my home at one point I made a change. This new Dr. had absolutely no bedside manner. I was extremely unimpressed. He encouraged me to try and stop taking my medication and it was not a good result. Dr. Chao is intelligent and has a caring nature as well. I would recommend him to anyone in need.
Dr. Chao is a professional and compassionate psychiatrist who was quick to understand what is going on with me. He is appropriately direct and offers treatment options, which allows me to be involved in the decisions about my treatment (e.g., Rx). He is up to date on what is happening with the drugs in his field. He has an easy conversational style and follows through on things. I feel very confident in his abilities and his reliability and know I am in good hands. I rheartily recommend him.
Dr. Chao is by far the best psychiatrist I have had in my 23 year struggle with depression and anxiety. He has been my psychiatrist for 12 years. He is highly regarded in the community and is extremely knowledgeable on the latest medications and treatments for anxiety and depression. He always returns my calls the same day and is very helpful with medication refills even when I am out of town. He is not just my doctor he is my friend.
I have been a patient of Dr. Chao for more than 15 years. I'm extremely happy with him. .....as my meds have been working well for me for nearly 10 years. In 2005, because I stopped taking my meds, I had a relapse into deep depression. I was visiting him as often as once a week, until my meds began to work for me again. Now, I visit him once a year. Also, if I should call him at his office in a non-emergency situation, he responds back to me the same day. His fees are very reasonable.
I have been seeing Dr. Chao since 2013. During the course of my mental struggles I have been in very interesting situations and have encountered quite a number of psychiatrists. Dr. Chao is by far the best of the best. And he has a good sense of humor.
Very professional and friendly Dr. Chao is super nice. He is also very understanding and really knows how to listen. I always go to his Adams Avenue office,but I know he has one in the UTC La Jolla Area too. Both of his offices accepts credit/debit cards, which is very convenient. He is a really busy psychiatrist and always seems to be booked. However I can tell that he really cares and wants to see progress in his patients.
