Great doctor. Explores all treatment options. Talks to you like a real person and not just a patient.
Dr. Akhtar was two hours late, did not apologize, did not perform a physical exam on me (a new patient), did not collect any family history, and now has lied on his billing about diagnoses and level of complexity (which he rated as the highest level of difficulty when I simply came for a medication refill). Both a nightmare to visit, and now to have to deal with billing issues.
I found him technically thorough and seemingly interested,. But after 3 visits decided it was not sincere. I needed a primary care physician, but found little emphasis on the word care. He seemed agenda-driven, sure his diagnoses were true and that tests will prove him right. Also he was unwilling to take responsibility for his staff's errors, offered no apologies for inconvenience caused me by forgetting to call in prescriptions as well as failing to hand me necessary ones as I left.
