Surprising how many patients don't know what kind of Dr he really is. He's a liar too. Flat out liar. I witnessed some pretty evil behavior. Wow.
A Wolf in sheep's clothing. Beware!!
First visit was very impressed. Was thorough and taking his time, coming from Dr. Fisher’s practice. Next visit, I had to wait 1 hr and 40 mins. Which I was told “dr is running a bit late 30 to 40 mins. Had to wait over an hr to get blood tests, results came back next day according to tests results and was not contacted until over a week later. When I called back the receptionist said everything is ok, not even the nurse calling . Unfortunately I think Dr Fishers overflow is too overwhelming.
I’ve been seeing Dr Akhtar for many years and even after I moved it’s worth the extra time it takes to see him. I wouldn’t see anybody else. He makes you comfortable and is very knowledgeable and caring. Funny too. I’ve had problems with my hand for a long time, and he took a lot of effort in to finding the best hand specialist, and he gave me a referral right away.
Dr. Akhtar is a topnotch DO & diagnostician. He will take whatever time is needed to help his patients with health problems. I didn't hesitate to following him to his new West Ashley office. He doesn't speak down to a patient but talks to us in easy to understand language. I believe this is why I and other patients do our best to follow the routines he sets up for us. Love his bright, new offices and is staff is very friendly.
Best primary care provider I've ever had. Very caring, welcoming, open, and helpful.
Dr. Akhtar has been my physician for more than ten years. I have never had a doctor that I trusted more. My parents see Dr. Akhtar, my wife and kids see Dr. Akhtar. We all love him. I like that Dr. Akhtar is honest. He doesn't sugarcoat the truth. He cares and it shows. He takes more time with his patients than other doctors and, gets to know us on a personal level--which helps him treat us even better. No one is perfect, but Dr. Akhtar is one of the best.
Great doctor. Explores all treatment options. Talks to you like a real person and not just a patient.
Dr. Akhtar was two hours late, did not apologize, did not perform a physical exam on me (a new patient), did not collect any family history, and now has lied on his billing about diagnoses and level of complexity (which he rated as the highest level of difficulty when I simply came for a medication refill). Both a nightmare to visit, and now to have to deal with billing issues.
Jeffrey Akhtar, DO has a 4.3 star rating with 67 reviews.
