Dr. Rihn preformed my 2-level ACDF surgery 3 weeks ago. I had ignored my symptoms (shoulder/arm pain, finger numbness, and arm weakness) for years. I "interviewed" multiple neuro and orthopedic surgeons before deciding on Dr. Rihn. I appreciated his directness and confidence that he could help me. He did. I woke up from surgery with feeling again in my fingers and strength in my left arm. At 2 weeks PO, I was cleared to stop wearing the neck collar, to drive short trips and begin riding my stationary bike again. Thanks to hi... read more

I would (and do) recommend Dr Ryan to anyone who needs back surgery. He did a wonderful job! I was up and walking the same day. The hospital facilities were first rate. It is now 10 weeks out and I feel as good as new!

Dr. Rihn performed my spinal decompression surgery three months ago. At all stages of the process, Dr. Rihn has proven to go above and beyond my expectations of care. I am an active 30 year old at the time of the procedure and I was very nervous about having it done. He made sure I understood everything that went into his decision making process, the procedure itself as well as the recovery process. If you are seeking the advice of a specialist, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Rihn.

Dr Rihn was referred to me for my ongoing low back pain. After 2 previous surgeries on my low back - Rihn suggested lumbar fusion. He spent very little time reviewing my history and while my fusion was seemingly successful - I still have low back pain below my surgical area. I had asked him before surgery to be attentive to not only where my surgery was needed, but in the areas below based on my previous pain issues. He stated that he "cleaned up " the surrounding areas but I doubt that's true. His bedside manner is stoic an... read more

After 20+ years of severe neck, shoulder, back & right arm pain; I am finally pain-free. Several doctors & treatments later, I researched spine surgeons and decided to see Dr. Rihn. I received a call immediately following my MRI results. Dr. Rihn translated the MRI report & images in a way I was able to understand. He was very patient and knowledgeable, confident yet humble. Dr. Rihn, Laura and his Surgical Team for my 3 Level ACDF Surgery were amazing along with the after care. He’s an exceptional spine surgeon.

Went to see Dr. Rihn for back pain..Learned my spinal cord was crimped in 3 spots in neck and 3 lower in back between the vertebrae! He said I should have been paralyzed and in a wheel chair! How I was walking is a miracle! Had immediate neck surgery and back surgery. I walked out of the hospital 1 day after neck surgery and 1 1/2 days after back surgery. Very grateful I found him! Nobody in 30 years wanted to help me find out why my back hurt. Always told therapy and pain management. I didn't even need therapy. He has hands... read more
