First and foremost if you’re black you will be policed. My partner did not receive any care or compassion at all. They were rude, dismissive, and inattentive. We waited for 12 hours to receive no freaking help.

I woke up with residual chest pains and was scared I had a heart attack so I went over to the ER. I was there for a total of 4 hours (which is probably the least amount of time I’d ever spent in the emergency department of any hospital) and everyone was so kind. The doctors and residents kept me informed of what was happening at all times, what tests were being ran, what else needed to be done, etc. They took their time with me and asked all the right questions. Everyone goes there I was sent by my PCP for an STAT MRI, I already had an appointment with her arrived by 8a.m. She was backed up I left with her instructions to go to the ER for the Stat MRI at 11:00 a.m I arrived We got home at 11p.m. I don’t blame the Doctors, nor the Nurse or staff.
