My mother requested I leave a 5-star review for her mammography tech Theresa F and for her amazing experience at the new Honickman Center! Our family and I would love to give a big thank you to Theresa F., mammogram tech, for her phenomenal patient care and warm bedside manner when taking care of my English-limited mother. While my check in process went more smoothly than the others recently note before me (definitely check in at the lobby kiosks before getting on the elevators - thanks previous reviewer!), I was shocked that no one - not on my call to schedule, not during my pre-check in questionnaire online, not at reception, not my technician - noted not to wear deodorant or use powder nor asked me if I had done so. I had an appointment for a routine mammogram & ultrasound at 11th and Chestnut. It was my first time getting one at the new Jefferson building. I arrived as directed ( MyChart said to arrive early and check in on the 4th floor, not the first floor kiosk. The 4th floor reception directed me to a glass door for Solis Mammography. I went into the room, a patient was there. Staff told me to wait in the nearly full waiting area. My appointment time came and went. Called for appt 2 days before, and told me it was at the usual location, 11th and walnut. Showed up there and was sent to new location, where they have been since mid November. 10am appt and wasn’t seen until 1050. New state of the art building, nice, but check in was chaotic. They were taking 1030 appt before the 10am appt, everyone very confused about the process, patients and staff alike.
