Promises, Promises, Promises. Spoke to owner *** ( number of times, cant give you a number as it was too many times) Was going to redo my downstairs bathroom, fix my garbage disposal and my electrical problem. Our home warranty company sent this company out to repair our dryer. Took him 3 weeks to come out for first appointment to diagnose problem with dryer. He missed first appointment promised to come next day but did not show. Third appointment he finally showed up and told me part would be in a week. I waited two weeks - and said he would call back - no call back. I called again - same thing. Several calls and several excuses. 3 1/2 months our dryer still not repaired. I am a senior citizen. *** responded to a ***** service agreement call to repair our cooktop. I paid him $75 for the call which I expected under my ***** agreement. He said he would return with the part. I have not heard from him and he will not return my call or ****. His ** is always full. He took my $75 - I consider this elder abuse. *** should not be in business based on all of the complaints about him. It does not make sense that ***** would used him as a contractor. We do work for these warranty companies and take there deductable the the company request. We give them a report then they give us a yes or no we have no power in the decision making of the company. If they say no ,the customer needs to bring it up with there warranty company. I try extremely hard to do a great job for the customer and the warranty company. sincerely and god bless Jay
On 2/28/ 2019, Jay fixed my ice maker, I have no complaints about that. However, during the conversation, I found that he services & sells ********* appliances. My toggle switch on my ********* stove needed replacing. I told him that the parts were discontinued, He removed my switch plate and toggle switch. He said that he would fashion a new switch for me. Charged me $323 to " fix" a dryer. Ran for 2 days and then stopped. I literally chased him for 3 months . He comes up with every excuse in the book. I finally gave up and went and bought a new dryer for about what I paid this scam artist. There is a reason he gets a F from the BBB. The sad part is he is still in business.
Jay's small engine has had our ****** lawn tractor sinc July. He was unable to fix the problem but would not return the tracto or bring it to someone who could fix it. We have made several calls asking to return the tractor to always be told he would have it by end of week. Here we are in September and again was told he would deliver today, still no tractor. I have been mowing a large area of lawn with a hand mower or pay someone to do it. We just want our tractor back fixed or not.
Our experiences with Jay of Appliance Service have been quite negative. Our 3 year old ****** dishwasher had stopped working. We contacted ****** and they sent Jay out to make necessary repairs. Around 5 weeks ago we had Jay come pick up our lawn mower. Without even giving us a quote, he "fixed" it and charged $189.00! Had he told us this beforehand we probably would have put that money towards a new machine. So we picked up the mower and paid the money. My husband tried to mow the lawn the next day and it wouldn't work. Jay came and got it. He had it for 3 weeks and had every excuse in the book as to why it took so long. he finally brought it back. Jay came to our home on Sept. 21, 2016 to check our refrigerator freezer as it was making strange noises and not making ice. He told us the parts needed and asked for $300.00 so he could order parts. He said ******* is slow at getting him parts so it could be 6-8 weeks. We called him several times and were told he did not have the parts.
