I was born with a severe club foot birth defect and had several surgeries before I was 6 years old, and more later. I’ve had pain in my foot all my life. Insertional Achilles Tendinitis

After 3 years being treated by an orthopedic and physical therapist, I still suffered from insertional achilles tendinitis. At my first appointment with Dr. Spector, he treated me and I was running for the first time in three years. I had a series of 5 treatments over 2 weeks and increased my running quickly with no pain. That was 8 months ago, and I am running regularly, playing soccer again, and without any pain. My mom brought me to Dr. Jay after having 2 surgeries on my foot for a growth that kept coming back. First surgery was done by a podiatrist. One year later the second surgery was done by an orthopedic specializing in feet. After 2 years it grew back again and they wanted to cut out more of my foot and use skin grafts from my thigh. I was not given antibiotics at time of surgery, although bone was cut and screws were inserted in the bone. Spector didn't have antibiotics available at surgery center. Three days later...horrible pain and infection. Infectious disease doctor admitted me to hospital for three days. Had IV antibiotics for three weeks!! Worst pain I've EVER experienced! Never heard from this guy after he realized I was in the hospital.
