RecommendedGreat place to celebrate a special occasion like your mom’s birthday. Food is fabulous and staff are very attentive, warm and friendly. I went there 30 years ago and the charm has not changed at all.
was told they had lamb when I called for reservations. Our server even took my order then came back and told us they were out. Heard another server offer Lamb. Lettuce Wedges ard pre made. Tomatoes were almost ice they were so cold and soggy.. I could go on. First time there and very disappointed..
Jax is a tradition......about as close to a Supper Club as you’ll find in Minnesota!!!!
Food was absolutely amazing. Our group was a lil on the loud side but our waitresses and servers were super sweet and tolerable. love the service and the food especially. Very impressed with the entire staff and historic atmosphere. Thank you very much for having us.

My wife’s birthday is on Monday but they are closed on Monday so we went on Sunday night because she loves their walleye dinner that says a lot because she does not like fish But that is where she want to go because the food is great and the is excellent I tell everyone that is the place to go
Great food, great service
They have live fish in the stream outside. order the trout or walleye and you get to catch one in a net and they will cook it for you! Steaks and live lobster as well. Large portions and great desserts.
