Dr. Herrera is an absolutely AMAZING surgeon! His precision to detail is so important. My gastric sleeve is flawless and I have had no issues recovering. I will definately have him do any future surgeries. I am absolutely amazed by how wonderful he is and I highly recommend him if you are looking for a 5 star surgeon!!!!

Laparoscopic sigmoid resection, by this surgeon! I was referred to him by other physicians who spike highly of him. I met with him prior to surgery and he spent 45 minutes with me explaining eating habits, and procedure. Absolutely the nicest surgeon and the best surgeon Ive ever encountered. Im a nurse, and Ive worked with many surgeons and physicians throughout my career! He is simply the best, all the way around!!! I highly recommend him!!

I needed a stomach blockage cleared and only a very few doctors are trained on this Gastric bypass revision. Dr Herrera did a wonderful job using a laparoscope and tools. The recovery was easy and i can eat again. Great Job.

I had my surgery in Dec '13, and Dr. Herrera was excellent. I was hesitant about having any surgery (I naively thought maybe there were other options for my overworked gallbladder), and I had 2 different consultations with him before I decided on surgery. He answered every question that I had, and it eventually put me at ease. I also had a consultation with another surgeon, and Dr. Herrera was the superior one. My surgery went great, and the follow up was great. I would recommend Dr. Herrera.

I met with Dr. Herrera and he explained what he was going to do after looking over my medical history. Said that the first day available day would be Friday and I was extremely happy since I'm in so much pain. Went to check out and the staff was horrible. They demanded the money up front for my visit before the insurance had processed any payment and then said that they required a down payment. This made no sense to me since they hadn't even billed my insurance yet. All of it unprofessional.

I was referred to Dr. Herrera for a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. During my appointment he spent an appropriate amount of time explaining things to me as well as answering my questions. He was very amiable and had the right amount of humor mixed in with his expertise to make me feel comfortable with him. I would highly recommend Dr. Herrera.

Dr. H said my port had flipped paid $2k 4 surgery to find out - no-it had just shifted and he didn't notice. He apologized, I was out $2k but I still continued to go to him for care. Last visit I had been having bad reflux, could barely eat, and often spit up food. He scoped it and said I had a small slip and he wouldn't fill it anymore-I needed a revision(a LOT more $)- wasn't even willing to fix the slip - 2nd opinion- new doc said massive hiatal hernia. half of stomach was in chest!!

Dr. Herrera seems to only care about making money, and not actually helping Patients. His staff is very inexperienced, and it takes several days if not weeks just to get a simple answer to a simple question. He came recommended to me, but I would definitely not recommend him to anyone.
