high prices, good food I don't know, maybe I am just not into the whole coffee house/internet cafe thingy. I lived in the pacific nw for 5 years and never did go to many. The food is good at Java Creek, but I don't know how I could afford to eat there very often. PROS: food CONS: price.
Nice Place to Study I've been to Java Creek Cafe many times since they opened. I have always found it to be very clean and have a nice atmosphere. It is a great place to go study as it is usually pretty quiet. The food there is average to slightly above average and the drinks are good too. They have free wifi internet and some network jacks by some tables. Some days in the evening they have live music too. I have not been there at any of those times. I would recommend it to anyone.
Coffee House The atmosphere here is awesome! Great place to chat. The lunch hour is very busy and expect to wait up to 30-40 minutes for a table. The sandwiches aren't much to them for the price which is high. But if you sign up for their e-mail list, you can get coupons that make it a much more reasonable place to eat. The desserts are good. Best in town Java Creek is the best coffee shop and cafe in town. They have a great selection of coffees and espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies. They offer breakfast baked goods made fresh every day, hot breakfast sandwiches, lunch/dinner sandwiches and soups. They've recently added a selection of Prairie Soup Company soups, which are amazing. Price is in the eye of the beholder. If you come here just to steal free wifi then I'm sure the prices look high. Java Creek KNOWS java!! Best coffee in Cedar Rapids, which I would think would be the most important attribute to have in a Coffee House. They specialize in personalized brewed coffee. Has live music weekly, good food, serves alcholic beverages (wine and beer), great combination of booths and tables, nice fireplace with plush seats around it, clean bathroom, nice artwork and lighting, friendly servers, WIFI and plays SIRIUS radio. They only serve reubens around St. Patrick's Day but they are the BEST reubens I have ever had.... read more
