My big toe had no bone in the joint so I decided to get it fuzed. I knew from the start that something was very wrong. I had horrible neuropathy for months after the surgery which has since turned into permanent neuropathy. Eventually the hardware frayed and the screw got loose. I went back to Dr. Surratt I felt reacted in a flippant manner and did not take any responsibility for the malfunction. I had to see an orthopedic surgeon to re-do the surgery. A year later I had the hardware taken out, hoping that the neuropathy wou... read more

I had a bunion surgery a few years ago. I wish I had waited or at least had a better understanding as to what was being done to my feet because my feet are worse now than ever. After the surgery I have had more complications than before the surgery and my feet look far worse.

Absolutely the best podiatrist. Great listener and really cares about his patients. Appointments are on time and the office is very clean. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Surratt.

Dr. Surratt is kind, has an excellent bedside manner and disposition. He takes the time to explain everything, all options, and even responds personally via email. His credentials speak for themselves... google them. Been seeing him for years. And... people... these reviews are for the provider’s skills, not minor inconveniences like late orthotics!

Best podiatrist EVER. I came into his office in pain and left my appointment with my pain greatly relieved. The office is very clean and I have always been taken on time. The staff is friendly and efficient. I have, on occasion, seen other providers in the practice and I have been very pleased.

Dr Surratt seemed competent and caring until I kept complaining of pain after surgery #2. I went back to see him after x-rays from another doctor showed broken hardware and my big toe was in two pieces, it didn't fuse He didn't order xrays because he said mine was only the 2nd time hardware had broken. Reading reviews, it's happened several times. x-rays would have spared me over a year of constant pain since I can't afford to take 4-6 weeks off work to have another surgery.

Went to NW office in Feb. Good experience, liked Dr. Surratt. Ordered orthotics. Told 3 wks to get. 4 wks later, I called and was told it really takes 4-6 wks. Plus pickup is in Tigard. Never would have ordered if I’d been told that. Then said they would transfer to NW by 4/6. Called on 4/6 and was told there never was a transfer promised and that the earliest is 4/20. I’m in too much pain to wait and I don’t trust their answers so canceled order and booked an appointment at a new podiatrist.

I truly regret my decision to use this provider! Short summary: 10/12/16 bunion surgery; 11/17/16 x-rays show screws failed; 2/6/17 I was informed of problem. Despite 4 Surratt visits and weekly PT at their clinic no record of failure in medical record notes or diagnoses. I’m in a boot, walking = painful, activities = limited. I need revision surgery w/bone graft for the 9mm bone lost in those 3 months and non-weight-bearing for 6 weeks after to help not correct the problem. Don’t use Surratt!

Getting an appointment is very difficult, and I have been a patient for many months. He has multiple offices, which makes it even harder. About half the time after arriving for my appointment on time, I have been kept waiting for 15 to 40 minutes.
