I feel more confident when Dr. Mendoza does my dental work. Shirley is an excellent assistant Equipment seems very modern. Receptionist seems very pushy in making sure payments are made.

I was a patient at Japantown Dental for about a year or two (which, in insurance talk, equates to 2-4 visits), until only recently due to a change of insurance. As a DTSJ resident, the location is prime! The service was also wonderful - I always appreciated how thorough, yet gentle, they were at each visit. the doctor has a very warm personality - surely taking and review notes before/after each visit - he goes the extra mile to remember your name, what you mentioned your summer plans were at your last visit, etc. I definite... read more

I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Alex Mendoza and his entire team for your dental care. I get very nervous about dental work, but Dr. Alex carefully and thoughtfully helped me through a complex procedure involving removing two crowns and treating cavities underneath. He was excellent about listening to my concerns and choosing the best option to keep my Invisalign treatment on track. I really like this dentist, they don’t push work that is not needed, and ask you what you are looking for in dental care. I’ve hopped around a few dentists, as they always just want to do work, and don’t ask what you want. The staff is also friendly. It’s also in my neighborhood.
