I just got back from getting my knives sharpened and I must say this place is fantastic. Jon has created an awesome environment to educate customers while selling high end Japanese knives as well as sharpen knives like mine. I had no idea I shouldn't use a steel on my Japanese knives till he explained why. Jonathan was very helpful and knowledgable. He also did not talk down to me and was will to show me my knife options. Definitely going to come back to learn more!
Jonathan the owner is a master knife sharpener, an expert on the myriad styles and functionality of Japanese knives and understands the nuances of customer service and meeting a welcoming friendly face at the door. No better place to purchase or get your knives sharpened. Selfishly, I'm ambivalent about writing a wonderful review as it will make getting my knives sharpened more difficult. I give JKI 6 stars.
