Chinese Version of Japanese Food? – I went there on a weekday afternoon, close to 3 P.M., after an early day at work. The interior is average, non-descript. The waitress, though friendly, said that the lunch menu will "close in 5 minutes". O.K. Meh I don't understand where all of these good reviews come from. I guess they are all friends or dating the staff 'cause that seems to be the only way to get decent service! We live near this restaurant & have given them quite a few shots & have always had bad experiences. worst sushi experience! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Drive about a mile further down the road to ahoyama! I had gotten a free $25 credit to restaurants.com & they were on there for a $25 gift card so we figured we'd give them a shot. This was the 2nd worst experience I've ever had at a sushi place. The best in the metroplex. The end. This is really a "secret" of the metroplex. Not only do they have the BEST prices on sashimi, they have been around for a long time, and are family owned. I have NEVER had a bad experience there, and have been going since I was about 15 years old (30 now just fyi) I have been to many other sushi places in the metroplex over the years, and I still say "should have gone to Japanese Grill" Something is very special about this place.
