My anxiety level was through the roof prior to my visit for a root canal, as dental experiences in the past were not pleasant. From the time I entered the office until the procedure was completed, I was treated with kindness, respect. Beth, his asst. was great, also. Both Dr. Chau and Beth explained every step before it was about to happen. I did not feel an ounce of pain and the entire procedure took 1hr/5min! Thank you Dr. Chau and staff! Sherry
Insurance help was a stellar unexpected plus. Dr.Chau is very personable, and has a great courtious staff. His work has been great so far. He is very thorough and knowledgable. Prescriptions can be refilled by phone if needed. His office works with you on appointment scheduling. I only have two areas that I feel need improvement. 1. His offfice only has morning appointments. This is annoying sometimes, especially if you don't take medications very well or are subjected to abnormal pain and then have to go to work. 2. I went for a retreatment of a root canal originally performed by the Navy. Dr Chau retreated it. His office split the treatment into 2-3 expenses instead of one procedure. My insurance company would only cover one total procedure, so I had to absorb what could have been included in basic procedure. About a year later, the tooth completely severed along the gum line without warning revealing the root. The whole crown was mixed with my food as I chewed. Went to Dr. Chau to save my teen's molar, trusting in his expertise as a root canal therapy specialist to save the tooth. I was extremely disappointed when Dr. Chau destroyed the tooth. Now, not only does my teen have to have a tooth extracted, but I get to pay for Dr. Chau's mistake. I should have just let my dentist do the procedure.
He was unable to save my tooth but put forth a great effort and did not charge me much at all since he couldn't fix it.
