Dr Wensink is an OK Doctor if you just need an immunization or a routine physical. She has missed many important problems - like my child needing a tonsillectomy and my other child needing a MRI! Her "everything is fine"attitude is totally reckless.
If you are assigned to see Dr. Biffa and have anything that is in his opinion not “acute” (something obviously wrong with you) , run for the hills. This man is the most rigid, conservative, uncaring, cold hearted doctor I have encountered in 68 years! I am caregiver for a woman with several long term , painful, chronic conditions. I have 5 kids and Dr Bruce is the pediatrician for all of them. Since 2000. He is awesome! I wish he saw adults too! Drs like him are very hard to find! Staff is rude sometimes but Dr Bruce is excellent! I highly recommend him.
Love Dr. Wensink and her bedside manner...very lovely person. However, like the previous comments, she missed things w/one of my children. On one occasion, my child ended up hospitalized. It turned out to be a very obscure hard to diagnose anomaly, & she did order routine tests. In finalizing, she wasn't our regular pediatrician, nor am I medical professional, so don't feel I can judge her skills or lack thereof too harshly.
Dr Wensink, missed many issues in my children. She has seen one since she was 18 months old, one since he was 2 months old and the 3rd since she was born. My daugher needed heart surgery and it was caught not by Dr Wensink but another random Dr that saw her for something non related. Even when we went for a follow up, she still did not notice the issue. This is only one child, she missed immunizations, and just brushed off my concerns about my other children, which turned out to be founded concerns.
very good doctor, have been going to him since 2005. Nurse does prep work, and makes a list of why we are there. Doc take time to hear what you are saying.
We started seeing Dr. Wensink two years ago when our daughter was born after she was recommended by another family with two small children. She is a wonderful doctor- she is very knowledgeable, but still very compassionate and gentle with the little ones. I especially appreciate her straightforward and direct approach to discussing child wellness issues. she will also take the time to explain her reasoning and approach if that is what you are after.
The best doctor my kids have ever had by far. Very sorry to have had to move out of state.
I love Dr Bruce he is awesome with my daughter and he always gives the best advice.
