Dr Lyons and Kaiser were as good as I could’ve hoped for. 10 years ago (2015) I got ORIF, performed by Dr. Lyons. He was no nonsense about staying off my leg for 10 weeks which I did. Clean scars on both sides of my ankle and I have been active ever since. I was in my late 20s at the time so I had the ability to heal quicker than most but I think of my experience with Kaiser and Dr Lyons fondly and with deep gratitude for his candor and mad skills.
Dr Lyons and PA RONNIE JAY ESCUDERO failed to reattach a distal bicep rupture in Oct 2020. I was told all I would experience is slight weakness in supination and since I wasn't a mechanic they wouldn't offer surgery. NOTE: IT IS ONLY IN RARE CASES THAT DISTAL BICEP RUPTURES ARE NOT REATTACHED. A year later and after 4 Kaiser ortho surgeon follow up visits, my arm is stiff, as if a steel rod is jammed into the forearm. Dr. Lyons is very detail oriented and a great listener. He did a fantastic job on my previous surgery and will be performing my next one as well. I am lucky to have him as my doctor and I highly recommend him!
