Been going to Dr. Striebel approx. 10 years now and couldn't be happier. Most comprehensive dentist I've ever been to. Not too much he won't take on - doesn't hem-haw around with anything, just gets down to business. Other dentists I've been to like to sub out work. Last dentist told my wife she needed a crown on a tooth she had no idea even had a problem. I had already been going to Dr. Striebel so I told her to get a second opinion from him. Used old dark teeth for a new flipper which was done a few years earlier by this dentist. Broke the original and went in for new one which was charged at full price which is fine ex ept they told lab to use original teeth for new one. I specifically requested lighter teeth this time was even sent to lab for shade match for a replacement and calling office multiple times to find out when new flipper will be ready to I would receive call back after they checked with lab. Again no call still waiting after three weeks or so.
I've been to Dr. Striebel twice and so far so good! He doesn't talk much, but he explains what will be done before he does it, makes sure I'm not in any pain and his office staff has always been nice to me. I could see how he might not be some people's cup of tea but he does suit my dental needs just fine. If you need a play by play of every single thing being done along the way, maybe he wouldn't be a good fit for some. He seems to like to just do his work quietly and efficiently. I've been going to Dr. Stiebel for over 12 years and will never go anywhere else. The Dr. & Staff are wonderful!
hygienist was very nice and knowledgeable
I will never recommend this dentist to anyone. I should have read the reviews on him before I let him work on my teeth. It appears what happened to me is not uncommon for this man. He is not a nice person. He did not explain what was happening. There was no confirmation of what was being done. He did not like it when I asked a question. Instead he started YELLING at me saying "I am not hurting you". Dr. Striebel hurt me twice in the chair. He was too aggressive with the drill. He dug deep into a tooth which caused it to break soon after. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody. The fact that he has been in practice for over 25 years and is still accepting new patients makes you wonder how long some of his patients stay with him!
Horrible experience! Terrible bedside manner. Will never return.
