I currently reside at 9801 Shore Rd. We love our building and how well maintained it is. Since being their I have had serval inquires on every and anything. I needed to have my wood floors refinished. A vendor was recommended by Jalen Management. In addition to that one of the lovely ladies took the time to advised me on how to keep my floors looking like new using a home remedy. Worst Mgmt Office Ever... Nightmare in Bay Ridge !!! Unprofessional, staff is ok but don't know what they are doing. Always gives you the run arounds. Receptionist is very rude, tries to screen calls for manager. The manager is never there, her name is Paula, she's the worst person to deal with. She's rude, mean, bias, prejudice and absolutely evil. She treats you like a second class citizen . This is absolutely the worst management company I've ever dealt with. It's been 3 months since I moved into one of the buildings they manage and after 10+ calls for the past month I STILL have not got my moving in deposit. Every time I call I end up with different info. Not only that, but they apparently still have my unit in the system under previous owner - that's after it's officially been on my name for 3+ months! They have no idea what's going on with their clients and what's in their database.
I highly reccomend this company. They have been managing my building for many years and they are nothing but helpful. I feel comfortable that I deal with the same employees for years to help fix my problems.
At all costs avoid doing business with Jalen. It's a terrible, terrible management company. They don't "manage" the properties that they purport to manage at all. They don't respond to phone calls, they don't respond to emails, they didn't have email until this year, ha, which is just absurd. They don't make any repairs on any of the buildings that they manage and they don't respond to any tenants situations at all. Ever. Completely worst management company in NYC area.
worst company i've ever dealt with. Paula is overwhelm, and other staff have no idea what's going on. no phone calls return, no emails return...for one little thing, you have to follow up 100 times. staff are very rude!!! i will not recommend this business to ANYONE!!! we are trying to get out of their contract now!
nice work – Decent job, competent, and timely to the extent of the word. The building management has been savvy to attract a good supt., create a clean environment, and handle the generally aging building conditions with a broad stroke. I would add more staff under Paula if it were for me to decide. Her management savvy has potential to grow if they have more hands handling admin and records management stuff.
