The calamari appetizer was really good but the fried one year old oysters were a, melt in your mouth, gustatory delight!
Step back in time when you can dine for a couple of hours without having music blaring in your ear & the servers aren’t rushing you out the door. Great place to have a conversation over a fantastic seafood dish.
The very best dining experience in Portland! My husband and I go to Jake’s Crawfish for lunch at least twice a week when we’re in town! We’ve never had any thing but a great meal with excellent service! We love Jake’s!
Not the best escargot in the world, but the best in Portland. Nice restaurant. Reliable and great staff.
The service, for one thing, is priceless. The atmosphere, rustic and extremely interesting regarding its history. Seems they've kept it original since the place was established in1892. The menu is obviously prepared by professional chefs. If you go to Portland, drop a few bucks on this place. Its amazing.

The oysters we had for dinner were so good we came back for brunch. The only way to make my ahi better would have been real wasabi. My wife’s crab Louie was wonderful. The crab omelet and crab cakes with poached eggs were great the next day. Steven sets the standard for service.

Way too expensive. I can go to the casino and get salmon all I can eat and it will actually be juicy not dry for $20. Rather then pay $80 for a small chunk of salmon some potatoes and green beans....This place was the worst place I've ever eaten at. Won't return....
