View This place has a great view of the ocean. The food is excellent! The best time to go is on Mother's or Father's day because they have a special menu and they give these delicous pastries that are fantastic!
amazing views This restaurant has the best ocean view with the best sea food ever. Kind of expensive but worth it. Most people wear nice clothes because it is a nice restaurant.
Great Food This is such a great place to eat. I love the food here, the location is amazing and the Hula Pie is off the hook. For dinner I had the Filet Mignon - which was so good, I almost ordered another one. For dessert, I had the Hula Pie which is unreal. My only problem I had the entire night was not the restaurant, but the parking. It is tough to find a spot, but well worth it!
ROMANTIC!!! By far this is one of the most romantic dining place in Del Mar. My boyfriend and I had dinner there one night, and the atmosphere is priceless. The food is a bit pricey, but the view is beautiful. You dine right on the beach, so after dinner, you can take a stroll down beach within a few steps. The servers are sweet and helpful. I love their wakaki mai tais. To top everything off, they have valet parking as well....with is fairly inexpensive.
Terrific beachfront location Cannot say enough about the wonderful beachfront location. Food is consistently good. Friendly and attentive staff. Parking is definitely a challenge here, particularly in the summer. Prices a little on the high side, but well worth it.
A great view while eating great food. Jake's has it all. Great food, great ocean view, sunsets, ambiance. What more can I say. You have to try Jake's if you have never been. An experience you will never forget.
Restuarant Jakes is a great atmosphere!!! On the ocean!! A perfect Special Occassion Restaurant!! Service is friendly and knowledeable. Great Culinary!! A + Close to Del Mar for weekend in the area ~ horseracing, beach, golf ~ A Favorite to many ~ If you haven't tried it ~ do it soon! Cheers!

It sits on the beach in Del Mar, giving a beautiful view of the ocean while you sit comfortably inside. The tasty dishes are often unique seafood combinations in everyday food concepts. And there is nothing better than a walk with the cool ocean breeze following a fulfilling meal.
Jakes Del Mar I had not been to Jakes in over 10 years, recently, had 60th birthday dinner at this restaurant. It was so romantic with a full moon that created the most beautiful glistening sparkle on the water. Seafood is always perfect, but the menu is wonderful and delightful service. Was and is always be a great choice.
