Dr. Jaime Carbonell treated me for a torn anterior tendon. From the first office visit to surgery and follow-up appointments, I can’t say enough about how professional and kind he is. I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for appointments. He arranged all my at home care. When I had a question, I got a call back almost immediately.The office staff are very nice as well. I highly recommend Dr. Jaime Carbonell! I had a terrible year-long toenail fungus infection and have visited 2 podiatrists prior, who either misdiagnosed the problem or prescribed mild topical ointments for a problem that required more serious treatment. It wasn’t until I visited Dr. Carbonell that the severity of my infection was acknowledged. He is very knowledgeable and precise. I came to him needing new orthotics, with a nail fungus and a tiny stress fracture in my foot that I can feel the bones moving. He successfully cleared up my nail fungus! He advised against surgery for the fracture because he said it is a hugely complex and painful surgery that wasn't worth going through for me at this time. Dr. Carbonell help me with my nails problems and got me the medicine that I need.
Dr. Carbonell literally spent 5 minutes with me and then left in a hurry. For that first appointment he charges $400. I was given a walking boot and billed at $145. You can find the same exact brand and model online for $50. When asked his billing department about the cost of the most basic follow-up appointment they gave me a ridiculous range between $220 and $350. I’m a 30 year veteran of Maternity nursing. I’ve recently fallen twice and have been seeing Dr. Carbonell for several foot problems. He came highly recommended. After suffering with a torn ankle tendon for 4+ months (trying to heal it naturally), the pain became excruciating. Just had my repair done and I’m thrilled with the results.
I have been suffering with Plantar Fasciitis in both feet with little to no relief for years. Dr. Carbonell is the only doctor who has been able to provide a treatment that has given me quality of life back. As a teacher being on my feet all day was torture and getting workouts in after work would leave me work throbbing feet at the end of every day. I almost died from his cortisone shot. Its been over a year and I now have 3 eye diseases, and difficulty walking which is permanent. Since the shot I have been through severe attacks of weakness, severe hypoglycemia, carbohydrate intolerance and severe spinning vertigo which was almost nonstop for 7 months and has not resolved completely. Suffice it to say I do not recommend this dr. He has ruined my health forever.
