I love how he explained what was going on and showed me images that supported his conclusions. He is no nonsense and gets to the point.
Surgery went well closure not so much.
Dr. Khalil has operated on me 3 times, twice in one week for a very difficult situation in my spine because of my prostate cancer in the bones. The first surgery was out-patient, relatively easy for us both. The 2nd and 3rd surgeries (3 days apart) were exceedingly complicated by cancerous bone that grew around the nerves. We had delayed dealing with the spinal problems because my cancer had come roaring back and I needed 5 months of chemotherapy and radiation first to save my life. From the moment Dr. Khalil walked into the office, there was a feeling of peace and friendliness. He was very open and willing to listen to everything I had to say. He answered my questions, explained what my options were. He told me that he would like to try a non-invasive approach before considering surgery. I liked that I would try physical therapy and injections before surgery.I would recommend D. Khalil to anyone who asked.
Dr Khalil is an excellent surgeon. He has operated on both my husband and myself, and another surgery is in my future! He thoroughly explains Xray and mri results, etc. to his patients, listens carefully, takes excellent notes, and makes sure that you get all the info necessary. He has the best bedside manner, using compassion, appropriate time with the patient, is friendly, and is very approachable. I highly recommend Dr Khalil for any spinal needs.
