I would’ve gone five stars, but I was thoroughly disgusted with the inattentive service, rude seating hostess, and obvious attention to younger patrons. Most of the time while waiting for food or a check, I listened to blathering on about Ru Paul’s drag race. Guess you have to be gay to get served here, as all focus was on the lesbian couple next to me that came in later but was served first and politelity. Piss off Jacoby’s. There are plenty of places to eat in Austin that welcome all.
I went for Sunday brunch and had the waffles and chicken fried steak. It was the bomb! Delish and atmosphere was great!
The food was good, but the service was lousy. It took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks served to us. Plus we had a party of 8 and they “could” not do separate checks for us, they could only split the total bill 4 ways. My husband and I who had order maybe $60 worth of food had to pay over $100. This place is a rip off!!! Extremely unhappy and will be calling the manager tomorrow and complaining. I’ve never been to a restaurant where you could not do separate checks.
Brunch was Delish. Can’t wait to get back to try dinner!
Probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my ENTIRE life. If you’re not old and white just don’t go here. I would not recommend this place to my friends, family, or clients.
