We had moved to ******* in the middle of the year. So we had to file in 2 states. I googled they did both states. It also said starting at $25 and get 50% off. So im thinking ok my homw state charges me $170.00 so shoukdnt be more than $200 adding an extra state tax. I must say I was shocked when she told me $700.00 bucks and they dont do 50% the most they can take off is $200.00. So not only do i have to pay in For my taxes, I had to dish out $400 extra dollars. scheduled an appointment, showed up, and the door was locked. Waited a bit, called customer **********************, who told me they took a personal day without telling me or rescheduling. They helped me make another appointment. The day before, I get a message saying my appointment was rescheduled to a random time, that I did not choose. Having my appointments cancelled and rescheduled without contacting me first is infuriating. I will never attempt to do business with them again

DO NOT GO TO JACKSON HEWITT!!! $550+ for less than 30 minutes to file daughter's simple return with no advance! Two W2's (1 from the military with no tax liability), and one ****-*** for a brief part time work from home job while she was pregnant. This was the amount after getting a $200 discount so it would have cost $750+. She was expecting $60-$150 based on the web site. She asked them to do her city taxes and they told her they didn't know how from *******************, her preparer. She wasn't even told the amount until ... read more
