I needed to get an additional copy of my tax return for legal reasons. I called my local tax office and left numerous messages. No one returned my call. I called the corporate offices. The person assisting me couldn't help me but promised to call me back within the hour. She did not. I sat on hold for close to an hour. I do not recommend using this tax service. Very unprofessional. I am now concerned that they did not prepare my taxes properly. I will not be using them again. Buyer beware!

I went to Jackson Hewitt to have them do my simple taxes, at first they charged me $300 dollars, and I dropped off the tax docs they needed. 3 weeks later I contacted them and they said that they have not filed my taxes, and need $200 dollars more. I said no way, I am not paying you more, I've already paid what you wanted. They said they will not file my taxes until they are paid an additional $200. I told them to cancel everything, I will do my own taxes, give me my tax docs back that I dropped off and refund my money paid.... read more

I went to Jackson Hewitt to have them do my simple taxes, at first they charged me $300 dollars, and I dropped off the tax docs they needed. 3 weeks later I contacted them and they said that they have not filed my taxes, and need $200 dollars more. I said no way, I am not paying you more, I've already paid what you wanted. They said they will not file my taxes until they are paid an additional $200. Worst experience of my life getting my taxes done.my tax preparer keep going to another preparer to ask questions. she didn't include any of my deductions. Rescheduled me three times,I went from owing 400 to *********************** less than 10 minutes and then had to pay almost 500 dollars for service ,on top of that had to here her personal problems and how stressed out she was during tax season.will never ever go back there.
