I would give them zero stars if I could. Jackson Hewitt did my taxes for me in April. Thank God I had a discount coupon. My taxes are pretty straight forward. Single with a house so I have a few deductions. $299!!!!! OMG Never again. Be careful when choosing a tax service. Ask about pricing up front. Next year I will be going back to ***** ******
Filed a return for 2022 and the preparer botched the State taxes portion. I wound up owing money and the Jackson Hewitt "office" closest to me closes up shop after tax season. The other offices I was advised I could go to are all over a hundred miles from my residence. They referred me to an office in **************** to obtain a copy fo my return and you can't through to them. I have a rejected tax return that Jackson Hewitt prepared for me I paid $25.00 for the quarantee that if anything happened they take care of it. I cannot access my account and I have sent and even called and no one can help me. I cannot fix my return because I cant get into my account and if I go through another company I am afraid I will get tax fraud.
I needed to get an additional copy of my tax return for legal reasons. I called my local tax office and left numerous messages. No one returned my call. I called the corporate offices. The person assisting me couldn't help me but promised to call me back within the hour. She did not. I sat on hold for close to an hour. I do not recommend using this tax service. Very unprofessional. I am now concerned that they did not prepare my taxes properly. I will not be using them again. Buyer beware!
I went to Jackson Hewitt to have them do my simple taxes, at first they charged me $300 dollars, and I dropped off the tax docs they needed. 3 weeks later I contacted them and they said that they have not filed my taxes, and need $200 dollars more. I said no way, I am not paying you more, I've already paid what you wanted. They said they will not file my taxes until they are paid an additional $200. I told them to cancel everything, I will do my own taxes, give me my tax docs back that I dropped off and refund my money paid.... read more
Worst experience of my life getting my taxes done.my tax preparer keep going to another preparer to ask questions. she didn't include any of my deductions. Rescheduled me three times,I went from owing 400 to *********************** less than 10 minutes and then had to pay almost 500 dollars for service ,on top of that had to here her personal problems and how stressed out she was during tax season.will never ever go back there.
They will rob you out of your tax refund please understand what your signing with this firm the first thing they dont tell you is that your check from the *** will not go to you it will go to ************* in Ky and they will take over a week to get you paid after they take there cut and then they will mail you out a check so your over two weeks out to get your money also if for some reason they mess up on your taxes and delay your refund over a year they will still take there fees up front from your refund. Very unprofessional company on all levels. I spend a lot of time and money to fix all mistakes after my tax preparation.
The office in ********* ** is terrible, quoting one price and then doubling the price. My Mother came in with a simple problem and was told they would refile her taxes to get her refund as a senior she was entilted to a discount. She was told it would not take much time and then she was sitting for 3 hours and then had to go make copies at another store for them and then ****** a letter from another store so she was there all day running their errands and then they told her it would cost 2 times the price she was told when s... read more
